San Diego Police Officer Arrested

The San Diego Union Tribune reported that another San Diego Police Officer has been arrested.  Officer Daniel Dana was arrested for suspicion of kidnapping, assault by a public officer, oral copulation under threat of authority, and rape under threat of authority.  The arrest arises out of a report by a 34-year old woman who reported that she was forced to have sex with the officer.  The story is here.

The San Diego Police Department has been having substantial trouble with officer misconduct and has confirmed eight other investigations for alleged crimes including rape, sexual battery under color of authority, domestic violence, and drunk driving.
